Tim Garcia is a California-based composer and songwriter. He learned music on the piano as a child, studying Chopin by rote, and learning “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” by ear. The alto saxophone was his second instrument, through which he learned jazz and symphonic music.
Shortly after college in the early 2000s, Tim co-founded the independent band Lime Colony in the San Francisco Bay Area with his friend and musical collaborator, Earl Kramer. The band added autodidactic layers to Tim's early foundation of formal study and practice.
As a composer, through Lime Colony and other collaborations, Tim continues to seek new inspiration and sensibilities.
